What am I gonna write here that hasn't already been written? Well, we always like to arrive about 4:45 and get in line prior to opening. Caesar salad minus anchovies is a requirement. We bounce around the different types of pizza, but have never been disappointed. A Portland staple that we're due to visit again in the near future! One of our all time favorites.

At first, I was a bit skeptical about how good a nationally-ranked pizza place could be. Having tried numerous pizza places around Portland, I can say this one has quickly become a top choice for me! I visited with four friends on a bustling Sunday night, so the wait time was a bit long--less than an hour. Fortunately, they offer 1/2 & 1/2 options for all their house pies, so we decided to mix it up. We ordered a total of two 1/2 & 1/2 pizzas. One pizza featured 1/2 Apizza Margherita and 1/2 Bacon Bianca, while the other had 1/2 Amatriciana and 1/2 Tartufo2 The Electric Boogaloo. My top two favorites were the Tartufo2 and the Amatriciana. The Tartufo2, with its delightful combination of truffle oil, cheese, and mushrooms, was simply amazing. I'm a sucker for truffle oil on pizza, and this one did not disappoint. The Amatriciana, with its house-cured bacon, paired beautifully with the pizza. Each slice was thin yet satisfyingly filling, especially given the 18-inch diameter of the pizzas. Overall, the experience was fantastic, and the variety of flavors offered something for everyone.

Apizza Scholls was one of our key stops on our Portland Pizza self-tour. Caesar salad to start was huge and delicious. The dressing was outstanding. We had a 1/2 and 1/2 Amatriciana and a make-your own. Crust was excellent, both halves were very very good. Our server suggested the Amatriciana and I was slightly hesitant as I wasn't sure it would be flavorful enough, but it was a great recommendation - it was outstanding. A must hit spot for the pizza junkie! Service was friendly and helpful and we were checked on a "just right" amount. Definitely a funky layout with the hostess stand in the bar side of the building and most seating on the opposite side, but the vibe in the restaurant and bar was great and we had no issues whatsoever. Met some new people, enjoyed fantastic pizza, and had a couple tasty beverages. What's not to love? Will definitely visit again next time we are in Portland, so delish!

APizza scholls was great! We read the reviews about the Caesar salad (with no anchovies ) and it definitely worth ordering. We had the Paulie Gee pizza and was excellent! We arrived about 10 minutes before they opened and there was already a line. Fortunately we got in right away! Definitely will go back and definitely recommend.
